(Reuters) – A safety official was killed and two individuals have been wounded when a shooter opened hearth at Azerbaijan’s embassy in Iran, Azerbaijan’s overseas ministry stated on Friday.
“The attacker broke by way of the guard publish, killing the pinnacle of safety with a Kalashnikov assault rifle,” it stated.
Video shared on social media confirmed what seemed to be damaged glass and injury to a door contained in the embassy constructing.
Police in Tehran stated they’ve arrested a suspect and are investigating the motive behind the assault.
The suspect entered the embassy with two younger youngsters and should have been motivated by “private points”, Iran’s semi-official Tasnim information company reported, citing the police chief.
