Professor Ian Shapiro introduces the category “Energy and Politics in In the present day’s World.”
This course gives an examination of political dynamics and establishments over this previous tumultuous quarter century, and the implications of those adjustments for what comes subsequent. Among the many subjects lined are the decline of commerce unions and enlarged position of enterprise as political forces, altering attitudes in direction of events and different political establishments amidst the expansion of inequality and middle-class insecurity, the emergence of latest types of authoritarianism, and the character and sturdiness of the unipolar worldwide order that changed the Chilly Battle.
