HOUSTON (ICIS)–NOVA Chemical compounds has moved the
deliberate startup of its new polyethylene (PE)
plant to the primary half of 2023.
Before, NOVA had expected to start up the
new plant within the fourth quarter of 2022.
The plant will produce 1bn lb/yr (454,000
tonne/yr) of linear low density polyethylene
(LLDPE) utilizing the corporate’s Superior SCLAIRTECH
expertise (AST2).
It will likely be at NOVA’s new Rokeby website, subsequent to
its Corunna website, in St Clair township, Ontario
province in Canada.
The PE plant will obtain ethylene from the
Corunna cracker, which NOVA is
increasing. The corporate has accomplished
building at two heaters, and it completed
the tie-ins to the remainder of the power throughout
the positioning’s turnaround, NOVA mentioned.
The enlargement challenge will improve the
cracker’s capability by greater than 50%.
Building is greater than 95% full for each
