KELLOGG — Kelsey Cessna scored 16 factors to guide 4 Sandpoint gamers into double figures because the Bulldogs beat Bonners Ferry 60-46 within the championship recreation of the Silver Valley Event on Saturday afternoon at Andrews Gymnasium.
Karlie Banks added 15 factors, Daylee Driggs 13, Aliya Strock 11 for Sandpoint (2-1), which opened the season with three video games in three days, beginning Thursday vs. 5A Lake Metropolis.
“What we noticed during the last three days is that each one of our ladies stepped up,” Sandpoint coach Will Love mentioned.
Sandpoint scored 19 factors within the first quarter, then used a 2-2-1 press on Bonners Ferry.
Markynn Pluid scored 15 factors to guide Bonners Ferry, and Asha Abubakari added 12.
“Our ladies did a great job at dealing with Bonners Ferry and never letting them get too shut,” Love mentioned. “We’ve got plenty of respect for his or her program and knew it was going to be a troublesome recreation.”
