NILES — Donald Eugene Brant, 86, previously of Somerset, Pa., handed peacefully Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022, at Windsor Home in Champion.
Born March 1, 1936, in Somerset, he’s the son of Howard R. and Mary Ellen Saylor Brant.
Donald was a 1954 graduate of Somerset Excessive Faculty and a U.S. Military veteran. He labored till his retirement as a assembler for Normal Motors Corp.
He liked searching, fishing, spending time on the Redwood Cabin, and being with household and pals.
Donald was a beloved husband, brother, brother-in-law and uncle to all of us, and can all the time be remembered and cherished for the reminiscences, limitless tales and laughter he introduced into our lives.
He’s survived by his spouse, the previous Evelyn Foust, to whom he was married 59 years; brothers and sister, Charles “Chuck” Brant, Shirley Weimer, and Gerald Brant and spouse, Kathy, all of Somerset; sister-in-law, Margie (Foust) Spangler of Florida; and 4 nieces and three nephews.
He was preceded in dying by his mother and father; brother, Paul W. Brant; sister-in-law, Patricia Brant; and nephew, Michael Spangler.
Per Don’s needs, companies can be personal at Religion Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Kathleen Stump officiating. Interment can be in Wills Cemetery.
