Ohio College’s Science Café presents Lynn Harter exploring “The Poetics and Politics of Storytelling” on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 5 p.m. on the Baker Heart Theater on the second flooring of Baker College Heart and through YouTube.

Storytelling is central to how folks thrive amid perceived difficulties and profound vulnerabilities. Harter’s analysis and inventive exercise discover how storytelling features in therapeutic contexts and the situations underneath which storytelling enhances particular person and communal well-being.

“I try to work alongside neighborhood members to witness, create and share tales in inventive varieties to teach and impact change,” Harter mentioned.

Harter is a professor within the Faculty of Communication Research and co-director of the Barbara Geralds Institute for Storytelling and Social Impact.
