Labour MP Nick Brown has been quickly suspended from the occasion pending an investigation, it’s understood.
In accordance with the Labour Get together’s guidelines, Mr Brown’s administrative suspension means he has mechanically had the whip suspended as a precaution.
The Guardian reported {that a} grievance had been made in opposition to the member for Newcastle-upon-Tyne East, who has beforehand served as Labour chief whip.
However the newspaper stated the character of the grievance is unknown.
Sky Information has approached Mr Brown for remark.
The MP advised the Guardian: “There was a grievance made about me to the Labour Get together, which is beneath investigation.
“I’m subsequently beneath an administrative suspension from the Labour Get together till the investigation is concluded.
“I am not conscious of what the grievance is. I’m cooperating absolutely with the investigation.”
Mr Brown has been an MP since 1983 and is the fifth-longest serving member of the commons.
