LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Household Council Motion Committee is organizing a statewide tour opposing the legalization of leisure marijuana in Arkansas.
The committee is urging Arkansans to vote in opposition to Subject 4 in November which might legalize marijuana use for people 21 years of age and older.
The Household Council’s Govt Director Jerry Cox stated the legalization wouldn’t enable legislation enforcement to stop organized crime and drug cartels from buying marijuana companies in Arkansas and the state doesn’t want one other drug drawback.
The initiative supporting Subject 4 is sponsored by Accountable Development Arkansas which has raised over $4 million in marketing campaign finance and says a sure vote would assist assist native police departments.
The Household Council argues solely a small proportion of the gross sales tax of legalized marijuana would go to legislation enforcement and many of the income would go to the marijuana trade.
The Household Council tour plans to cease in Arkadelphia, Batesville, Bentonville, Benton, Camden, Fayetteville, Fort Smith, Sizzling Springs, Jonesboro, Little Rock, Pine Bluff, Texarkana and West Memphis.
