A Board of Schooling assembly will permit Toms River residents to voice their opinion after the BOE voted to eradicate Columbus Day from the college calendar.
Columbus Day was initially alleged to be a day without work for college kids, with the college 12 months ending on June 20. The change now makes June 16 the final day of college.
The Superintendent stated the choice was made in an effort to shorten the college 12 months.
Different college boards together with Randolph and Rockaway Township have additionally tried to eradicate the vacation.
The BOE assembly is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
