EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (Oct. 20, 2022) – The Workplace of Neighborhood Engagement at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State College will host a Neighborhood & Financial Engagement Summit on Tuesday, Oct. 25, and Wednesday, Oct. 26, co-sponsored by CVS Well being.
The summit, “Surviving and Thriving in a Publish-Pandemic Financial system,” will happen on campus on the Alumni-Basis Occasion Middle, 200 N. Benbow Street, Greensboro.
The occasion is designed to advance regional group engagement and financial actions throughout N.C. A&T’s 96th Homecoming.
“Our purpose is to tell, practice and educate the general public on subjects of group and financial engagement,” mentioned Lonnie Cockerham, Ph.D., A&T’s govt director of group engagement. “We need to facilitate conversations between our college and group companions. This summit provides networking and alternatives to discover ways to construct wealth, assist underserved populations, affect coverage and make a constructive affect on our group.”
CVS Well being has been concerned in planning the summit since spring.

Tuesday’s classes will start with a strolling tour from 1 to three p.m., adopted by opening plenary by Cockerham at 4 p.m.
Joel Wiggins ‘95, president and CEO of The Joel Wiggins Co. and director of the college’s Middle of Excellence in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, will give a presentation on “Overcoming Enterprise Obstacles” at 4:15 p.m. earlier than moderating a panel on networking necessities at 4:45 p.m. Dan Ford, president of the Atlanta HBCU Alumni Alliance, Gerry McCants, president of McCants Communications, and Robin Adams Cheeley, proprietor and CEO of WriteRight, are the panelists.
