The Observer reached out to candidates and provided a versatile, written discussion board to (re)introduce themselves to their communities forward of the election. Statements could have been edited for size or readability.
The Oregon College District’s Board of Training is comprised of seven seats. Board members are elected to symbolize the realm they reside in: Space I (the Village of Oregon), Space II (the Metropolis of Fitchburg, City of Blooming Grove and City of Dunn) and Space III (the City of Rutland, City of Montrose, City of Oregon, Village of Brooklyn, City of Brooklyn and City of Union.)
Three of those seats are up for grabs within the spring election, one in every space. Ahna Bizjak (Space I), Heather Garrison (Space II) and Board Vice President Tim LeBrun’s (Space III) phrases all expire in 2023.
Bizjak and Garrison each introduced their intent to run for reelection at a board assembly, and they’re going to run unopposed. Bizjak has beforehand served for 2 phrases. Garrison has served for one time period.
