Columbus Metropolis Council has introduced eight finalists Wednesday for the council seat being vacated by Council President Professional Tempore Elizabeth Brown, who introduced her plans to resign final month.
The Dispatch beforehand reported that 27 people had applied for the opening. Council President Shannon Hardin stated in an announcement that Metropolis Council was on the lookout for an skilled candidate not looking for to run for election in 2023.
“We had a really spectacular pool of candidates, and I sincerely thank everybody who took the time to use,” Hardin stated.
