Larry Dean Grubbs, 76, of Tidioute, PA, handed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023 on the Corry Manor.

He was born on February 8, 1946, a son to the late Ezra and Mable (Moore) Grubbs. After highschool, Dean, as he was identified, proudly served the US Military, retiring after 24 years of service as an Aviation mechanic. He was a really adorned soldier who spent 2 of his years in Vietnam. Dean was a purple coronary heart recipient and was awarded the next, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, Military Achievement Medal, Military Good Conduct Medal, Nationwide Protection Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, NCO Skilled Improvement Ribbon, Military Service Ribbon, Abroad Service Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Quotation, Republic of Vietnam Marketing campaign Medal, Skilled Badge and Grasp Plane Crewman Badge.

He was a member of the Tidioute American Legion, the Tidioute VFW Publish 8803 the place he additionally served because the Commander for a number of years and a Grasp Mason. He loved drag racing and liked flying airplanes and helicopters which he spent 22 years doing it within the service.

He’s survived by his son, David Grubbs of Atoka, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Summerlee and Laray Grubbs, each of Ozark, Arkansas; his siblings, Gary (Laurie) Grubbs of Largo, FL and Marshall (Rose) Grubbs of Portville, NY; his ‘sis’, Sheryl Hulings of Tidioute, PA; his caregiver and niece, Monica (Chris) Morgan of Tidioute, PA and a number of other nieces and nephews.

Along with his dad and mom, Dean was preceded in dying by 2 brothers, Marion and Hal Grubbs and three sisters, Marcella Meade, Bethel Fauzey and Edith Kinnear.

A celebration of life will likely be held on Sunday, January twenty ninth from 1-4pm on the Tidioute Volunteer Fireplace Dept. Social Corridor, 224 Primary Road, Tidioute, PA 16351. The Tidioute VFW will present full army honors on the firehall at 1pm.

Memorial donations could also be made to the Butch Hulings Memorial Scholarship, 23 Scott Road, Tidioute, PA 16351.
