West Grand Intern of the Month is pursuing an education in the nursing field

Senior Karina Dominguez, West Grand Excessive Faculty’s January Intern of the Month, is pursuing her ardour for serving to others as a nurse. This fall semester, she labored with nurses at Center Park Well being in Kremmling. She’s presently interning for college nurse Chelsea Gaines BSN, RN on the West Grand Faculty District.

“After I graduate highschool, I wish to proceed my training within the nursing area so I wished to see what it might be like,” Dominguez stated of why she selected her internship.

On the hospital, she shadowed the lead nurse to study their duties and affected person interactions.

Dominguez has practiced checking sufferers’ blood strain, pulse and oxygen.
