Of the 37 awardee establishments, 24 are recognized by the U.S. Division of Schooling as MSIs: 13 are Hispanic-Serving Establishments (HSIs), 5 are HBCUs, two are Asian American and Pacific Islander Serving Establishments (AANAPISIs), one is a Tribal School and College, and three are recognized as each HSIs and AANAPISIs. The opposite awardee establishments embody main analysis universities and DOE nationwide laboratories.
